EC_Tools are user friendly masks which help to use a certain electrochemical method or application.

The masks contain only the parameters of interest, the most potentiostat settings are done automatically in respect to the timing and potential resolution of the corresponding experiment. Each mask contains explanations of the stimulation sequences or explains the entire method using graphics or cartoons.

EC_Tools help to get quickly the results of the corresponding electrochemical method and the results of analysis. The selfexplaining user interface requires only a minimum of documentation and guides with comments and diagrams through the method. EC_Tools can be used for standard measurements in industry or for teaching purpose at universities.

EC_Tools provides actually 8 electrochemical methods:

Using EC_Tools a license of POTMASTER is required, in case of evaluating the results of Pit_Tool a license of FITMASTER is required too. All electrochemical methods are comfortably accessible via EC_Shell which shows the installed software licenses and guides through the installation of the hardware.

EC_Tools works with all computer controlled HEKA potentiostats (PG 310, PG 310 USB, PG 390, PG 390 USB, PG 340, PG 340 USB) The analog potentiostats PG 410, PG 490, PG 510, PG 590, PG 285 and other must be combined with a digital interface LIH 8+8, LIH 1600, ITC-16 and ITC-18 in order to work with EC_Tools.

Features:
  • Easy access to all tools via EC_Shell
  • Existing parameters of all methods can be modified and saved as individual parameter sets
  • The raw data are saved with all potentiostat settings
  • Comfortable functions of data export
  • Using current densities recording cell currents
  • Evaluation of the raw data using the online analysis of POTMASTER. Therefore, the analysis methods can be modified
